Shake It Up! Healthy Shake Recipe with Chia Seeds.

Shakes are one of the easiest ways to create a healthy snack.  On the weekend, I love to experiment with different healthy ingredients from my kitchen to create a healthy shake.  Today I came up with this delicious healthy shake recipe made with chia seeds.

1.5 cups of unsweetened almond milk

1 scoop of vanilla Garden of Life Organic Plant Protein (or your favorite protein powder)

1 tablespoon Organic Chia Seeds (they sell these at Costco!)

1 Siggi’s Vanilla Icelandic Yogurt.  I love this yogurt.  lower sugar content than any greek yogurt on the shelves!  Sold at Whole Foods, Mother’s Market and Sprouts.

2 tablespoons of shredded coconut.

1-2 pitted dates.  This sweetens the shake. I found 1 date to be enough considering there is some sweetness in the yogurt.

Blend all the ingredients together in a blender and serve. Enjoy!
